Saturday at the track was a grind. With 44 selections scattered across six meetings, from the flat track at Southwell to the jumps at Fontwell and Gowran Park, we saw plenty of action but the winners were elusive. It is one of those days where the form looks ironclad in the morning and turns into dust by the final furlong. We saw some absolute crackers and a few that left us scratching our heads wondering what went wrong. Let us dive into the carnage.
Ascot
Ascot delivered one of the highlights of the day with a gritty performance in the Betmgm Rous Stakes. It is always a treat to see a listed contest go down to the wire.

Losers Analysis
Not every bet lands, and today was a reminder that even the best-laid plans can fall flat.
Division

@ 10/11Ones to Watch
Keep an eye on the Fahey horses. They seem to have found a groove with the younger runners, especially on the all-weather tracks. Also, keep watching anything coming out of the Mullins yard in Ireland; even when they lose, they are usually only inches away from another win.
